A dripping tap is easy to ignore — until you get the water bill. A tap that drips just once per second wastes around 30 litres a day, which adds up to over 10,000 litres a year going straight down the drain. If it's hot water leaking, your energy bill takes a hit too. The good news is that most leaking taps are a same-day fix — I carry the most common parts on the van and can usually sort it in a single visit.

What I Fix

I repair and replace all types of tap fittings found in homes and businesses across the Sutherland Shire, including:

  • Tap washers and O-rings on traditional pillar taps
  • Ceramic disc cartridges in mixer taps and single-lever fittings
  • Dripping kitchen, bathroom and laundry mixer taps
  • Outdoor garden taps and hose bib fittings
  • Leaking tap spindles and headgear assemblies
  • Jumper valves and seat regrinding where needed
  • Running toilets — worn cistern valves and flapper seals
  • Leaking toilet base seals

Whether it's a slow drip from an old-style washer tap or a mixer that won't shut off completely, I'll diagnose the cause and give you a straight upfront price before I start.

Why a Leaking Tap Is Worth Fixing Promptly

Beyond the water waste, a leaking tap causes staining on sinks and basins, and moisture sitting around a tap base can eventually cause problems with cabinetry, tile grout and silicone seals. What starts as a drip can become a much more expensive repair if the water works its way into the cabinetry over months or years.

A running toilet is particularly easy to miss because the water goes straight down the drain without making much noise. But a faulty cistern valve can waste 200–400 litres a day — more than a full bathtub, every day. If your toilet occasionally makes a faint hissing or running sound after flushing, the fill valve is likely worn and worth replacing.

Same-Day Tap Repairs Across the Sutherland Shire

For most tap repairs, I can get to you the same day you call — where possible. I carry washers, cartridges, O-rings and common ceramic disc assemblies for the most frequently installed tap brands in the Shire. For less common or imported fittings, I may need to source parts first, but I'll always be upfront about that before you commit to anything.

Everything I do is backed by my lifetime labour warranty. A tap repair I do won't be dripping again next week.
